Brain Training

Many high school and travel ball coaches do not understand the importance of the mental game.  The mental part of the game can be more important than the physical part of the game for some athletes.  This is where sports psychology comes into play as well as brain training.

In college, an athlete is usually asked to think on their own, not only to react to fast moving balls but to think ahead about what they do will effect the rest of the game.

Here is a web site that I found that may help me explain it better.  Braining for athletes.  Another site would be Beyond Peak Performance.

So encouraging your athlete to do some Brain Training like at www.Luminosity.com is a good idea.
