Yesterday the Daly family got home from Denver, Colorado. Team TFS did very well in the tournament. They won all four pool games and were put in the 1st and 2nd seed bracket, the 16U Mt. Elbert bracket.In bracket play, their first game was decided in an international tie-breaker and their second game was a loss.
Alicia was the speed for the team, being the base runner for the first two games. The rest of the games she played either left or right field. She had the opportunity to field one hit in the outfield and did so on a running catch. Her fielding average is now up to .900.
Alicia had a great deal of responsibility this tournament because her mother became sick and was in the hospital while out in Denver.
Alicia has three rec games this week and will be attending the University of South Carolina camp on July 11th and 12th.
She is excited to learn from USC Coach Beverly Smith.
